CDC Of Tampa Receives Boost In Funds From 31st Anniversary Fundraising Luncheon

Each year in October the Corporation To Develop Communities of Tampa, Inc. (CDC) hosts its fundraising luncheon to support affordable housing, workforce development, and youth empowerment programs in Tampa Bay communities.


This year's e3vent drew more than 320 attendees and raised a total of $187,000. The emcee for the event was Frank Wiley, Anchor, 10 Tampa Bay Brightside. The audience included elected officials, community residents, and corporate executives.


The event was also filled with notable guests and speakers, including a video appearance by U. S. Representative Kathy Castor and an opening speech by Councilwoman Gwendolyn Henderson. Fifth Third Bank's Chief Economist, Jeffrey Korzenik, gave a thought-provoking presentation on investing in human capital amid the current labor landscape.
